In addition to the provided graphical schematic, here is a parts list, advice and maybe some indications on where to get better/cheaper parts for your effect. ********************************************************** Project: A/B signal selector. Build Difficulty: Intermediate This is one of the nicest and simplest signal selectors you can build, as it grounds the unused amplifier input preventing additional hum, Kudos goes to Mike Fuller of fulltone effects (www.fulltone.com) for coming up with this and for allowing me to do a layout of it. ********************************************************** PARTS: 1 - Green LED 1 - Red LED 1 - Hammond 1590BB Alluminium Enclosure 3 - Switchcraft Mono 1/4" Jack 1 - Fulltone 3pdt or equivalent Heavy duty Stomp switch 1 - 2.1mm DC Jack ? - Wire. 22AWG, solid core makes for easier soldering, buy colors! 1 - Soldering Iron, 20-50w, try to get a "needle" tip. ? - Solder, rosin core, a small "tube" coil is enough for a box. *********************************************************** Random Tips: The enclosure. Probably the hardest part about building the box, is getting a durable, good looking finish on your enclosure. on Hammond Alluminium enclosures, i proceed as follows: - Sand box with fine 400-800 grit sandpaper until smooth - clean box with acetone throughly - slightly heat box with a hair dryer - spray 4-5 coats of enamel paint (can is fine) - using a toaster oven, at about 100 degrees, bake for half an hour - let cool, and cure for 2 days - spray with several coats of clear coat (rustoleum clear coats do fine). - sand with fine, fine paper, (DONT go all the way through the clear) - buff throughly, for that SHINE! - GOOD LUCK! *********************************************************** Where to buy: All of these items are readily available at SmallBear Electronics. I recommend them for stompbox parts. The service is great, they are very knowledgeable, and the prices are great. www.smallbearelec.com ***********************************************************
